I’ve been spending the winter months planning next years garden. Here are a few sites I’ve found quite helpful during this process. I hope they help you with your planning for next year.

• Fantastic, interactive pest identifier via the BBC. This is a great way to teach the family about garden pests and how to deal with them.

• A great step-by-step tutorial on how to winter prune a grape vine via My Tiny Plot.

• An interesting insight into carnivorous plants via You Grow Girl. I was actually wondering whether I should grow a few to trap off pests in the summer.

• A very informative post on producing leaf mould from fallen leaves surrounding your home. The article is via My Tiny Plot. I actually never thought of this until I read this post.

• Informative article listing ways in which to extend the autumn harvest through the winter. The post is via You Grow Girl.

• An in-depth look at growing your own broad beans. This article includes a growing, sowing and planting guide as well as information on different varieties of bean. The post is via Channel 4.
